2018 Hydrangea Festival Embellishment Contest

We are asking all Douglas County residents and businesses to decorate their mailboxes, lampposts, gates, fences, trees, signs, and doorways in festive hydrangea blossoms, ribbons, and colors to welcome guests and festival attendees to our community.  Each year we have several outstanding displays that are enjoyed by the community and the many visitors that attend the Hydrangea Festival during the June 2-3 weekend festivities! 

This year’s Hydrangea Festival theme is “Passport to Cityline”.  Keep Douglasville Beautiful will again be judging the outstanding efforts, so be creative!  Embellishments can contain live flowers or many of our local businesses carry reasonably-priced supplies and artificial hydrangea blooms that can be incorporated into your design.    Entries should be submitted to Keep Douglasville Beautiful no later than Sunday, May 27, 2018 by midnight.  The entries can be e-mail to info@KeepDouglasvilleBeautiful.org, mailed to PO Box 219, Douglasville, GA 30133 or dropped off at City Hall.  Please include pictures of the decorations, the home or business’ address and contact information.  Winners will be presented with an award ribbon and 2 tickets to the Hydrangea Festival Garden Tours.  There are 6 categories that will be judged!
