24th Annual Kiwanis Sweetwater Triathlon/Duathlon/5k
Come join the Kiwanis Club of Douglas County for the 24th Annual Sweetwater Triathlon-Duathlon and 5K. KIWANIS is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at at time.
Sweetwater Creek State Park is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from downtown Atlanta, with wooded trails through fields and forest, showcasing ferns, magnolias, wild azaleas and hardwoods.
The Triathlon begins in the reservoir with a 200 yard swim, followed by a 10 miles bike on asphalt and finishing with a 5K run through a wooded trail. Experience some of what the beautiful park has to offer on this beginner Tri.
The Duathlon will begin on the trail, with the 5K run, followed by the 10 miles asphalt bike ride and finishing with a 5K run on the trail.
The 5K will run on the road and trail.

Run Course - Combination Road and Trails all inside State Park
Age Groups: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55- 59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
Awards: Three deep: male and female in all categories, with overall male and female winners.
Amenities: Water on course and refreshments at finish
T-Shirts: Provided race day at registration table

Directions: I-20 West from Atlanta to Exit 41 (Lee Road). Go south on Lee Road approximately one mile and turn left on Cedar Terrace Road. Follow Cedar Terrace Road until it dead ends into Mt Vernon Road. Turn right and follow signs for parking and check-in/registration.
