Senior Institutional Research Analyst
|Job Description Summary||
This position provides support for the primary institutional research function of capturing, analyzing, and interpreting data on faculty, students, staff and other critical information for institutional leadership decision-making and for other internal and external uses. This position may be called upon to suggest analyses, write documents or sections of documents, present data analyses and track specific projects, provide data uploads or survey support. This position contributes to extending self-service capacities and data visualization options for institutional and project leaders and to developing and documenting shared data practices for consistency. This position will use data to provide analysis for a variety of units across the college. This position is responsible for independently performing responsible and confidential duties and performing non-standardized tasks requiring the employee to formulate production methods, schedules, and priorities. The Sr. Institutional Research Analyst reports to the Dean of Planning, Assessment, Accreditation, and Research.

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
• Collects data, conducts data analysis, and provides research support for internal and external institutional data requests using quantitative and statistical procedures; verifies data to ensure accuracy by comparing institutional data against other data sources such as IPEDS and USG’s data warehouse.
|Knowledge, Skills and Abilities||
• Experience in collecting, editing, verifying, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data, preferably in a higher education environment
