This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing records center operations, including transmittal, storage, retrieval, retention, and destruction of records in accordance with legal requirements and managing associated records databases. The incumbent is responsible for working with user departments on special research and retrieval projects to ensure that all records needs are met. The position entails working in the Records Center, manually lifting up to fifty-pound boxes daily while on a ladder, retrieval and delivery of boxes and files, interfiling documents within those boxes so that documents are available to the courts and administrative departments as they are needed.
 
This position is responsible for identifying and planning imaging projects to be completed, creating timelines, writing specifications, monitoring progress, documenting, and evaluating project results.  The work requires the incumbent to process, scan, and index county records using provided software and offer training in operation of imaging system to users.  The position requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently.  Confidentiality is mandatory.
 
Requirements: 
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Preferred:  Bachelor’s Degree
  • REQUIRED:  At least two years professional experience, including experience in a supervisory capacity or a combination of five years related education and experience
  • Ability to lift and handle 50 pound boxes on a ladder.
  • Must be computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Access
  • Must have and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C),a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle; if assigned job duties require the use of a vehicle
  • Minimum 21 years of age
 Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.
 
Salary range: $25,500.80 - $31,069.79 annual ($12.26 - $14.93 hourly) based on experience and qualifications, plus full benefits package
