Parks and Recreation 
Seasonal Program Aide – Summer Camp Supervisor 
Part Time, Temporary – Approximately 40 hours per week.
APPLICATION DEADLINE – Open until filled
This is a seasonal program aide position in a recreational summer day camp environment.  Essential duties and responsibilities include planning, administering and implementing age appropriate athletic, indoor, and outdoor games for each session of camp, supervision of camp participants as well as other camp counselors, and effective handling of issues that might arise on a daily basis.  Work is performed in various facilities, both indoors and outdoors.  Previous experience working with children, including those with disabilities, in a structured recreational setting, is preferred.  CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.  The incumbent may be required to drive a county vehicle (15 passenger van) to transport participants to and from activities.
  • Preferred:  CPR/First Aid certification
  • Successful completion of 60 semester hours of college or three years’ experience in a related field such as professionally structured recreation or childcare, preferred
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C),a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle; if assigned job duties require the use of a vehicle
  • Minimum 21 years of age
Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.
Salary:  $12.88 hourly, NO BENEFITS
