Event Manager Job Description Job Summary:

The event manager is an hourly/part time position, including weekends and nights; responsible for the successful execution of wedding, corporate and social events at Foxhall. This person must be available nights, weekends and holidays, as needed. Experience in the hospitality industry is preferable, but not required. This person must have good communication skills, the ability to lead as well as follow directions and work as a team. This person must be a motivated, visible and professional representative of Foxhall. This person must be aimed towards addressing, anticipating and resolving member and guests needs by finding proactive solutions to situations that arise. He/she will oversee event staff and the venue for all scheduled events. The event manager ensures that all members and guests receive proper, attentive, courteous and expedient service in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. They ensure that safety and sanitation codes are followed at all times. The event manager will also assist in training new team members. Compensation depends on experience: $12.00 to $14.00 per hour.


• Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds as needed.
• Must be able to set-up, execute and manage a Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Walk venue and event rooms in the beginning of the shift before guest arrival for correct set up.
• Monitor pre-functions interior and exterior for cleanliness.
• Be able to train new employees in the use of the proper service methods that adhere to the Foxhall standard.
• Provide excellent service to all members and guests. Be able to spot and immediately correct any deficiencies.
• Oversee that all areas are clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain equipment, assuring all equipment is being taken care of, handled properly and stored accordingly.
• Promote a safe work environment. Proactively looking for safety improvements, minimizing work related issues.
• Assist other event staff with the set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs and banquet materials.
• Ensure that all staff members adhere to the Foxhall standard (i.e., work habits, property grooming, etc.) and style of service set forth by management.
• Communicate any changes and timing of event with event staff.
• Ensure that any and all beverage items are presented and served correctly, adhering to the standards set forth by Foxhall.
• Must be a team player who leads by initiative. Must be able to spot and handle situations without being directed by management.
• Assign and direct all opening and closing side work. Even manager is responsible for ensuring that all opening and closing work is completed as directed by management.
• Must confirm that ALL items on event checklist are completed to the Foxhall standard.
